Merry Xmas to you all.

We had a great Xmas , very snowy as its Snown on and off for the past 2 weeks. Best start to the Season for 50 years according to some people. As you can see below even the cars got buried this Dec.

Temperatures have remained quite mild although we've had wind at Altitude.

Girls got everything they  wanted, main present was to choose a new ski jacket each. They have gone bright this year.

I got some new Timberland boots and Jonny a watch.

Guests have been lovely , Andy and Julie returned along with the Wylies. The girls had a ball that week. My sister came out with her husband and children to learn to ski They did brilliantly and we loved having them all here.

Xmas day was the most relaxing we've had in a longtimer. Enjoyed a ski and dinks with friends before dinner with our guests.

Well the Season has started , we are up and running.

First guests arrived on the 8th Dec to Ski Val D'Isere and Tignes. What a great week to come as the previous week we had over a metre of snow here in the Village.

The chalet is looking good and the Xmas tree is up. New recipes on the menu this year including a Tagine  as well as the popular lamb shanks and Pan fried Duck breast.

Les Arcs and Sainte Foy opened today (15th) and we have skied powder for the last 2 days. Noone on the pistes , so millionaires skiing once again. Tarentaise Valley once again has great early conditions proving to be the best place to ski early season for great rates.

The Xmas lights are on in the Village. The new hottub is proving a hit as it has a lounger area in it. Its been used most nights so far.

The girls finish school on the 23rd. They are excited as my sister arrives this week to stay with their cousins.

Jonny is skiing on some Dynaster Cham's this Season and loving them, esp in the Powder. Im sticking with the Scott Rosa's but may get some fatter ones.

Had a good trip back to the UK , great to see family and friends, and the weather was not too bad. Bought clothes for the girls  for Winter and stocked up on the usual food things we cannot get here in France ready for the Winter.

Whilst we were away we had snow,  quite a lot actually  and our friends were posting photos and  sending us updates whilst we were away.

Jonny got back and went straight for a skin yesterday in Tignes. The Glacier is in great condition at the minute.

The girls are back at school this Monday. I'm washing duvets, pillows etc and making sure we have enough of everything ie cutlery, plates, glasses etc.

All the new ski gear is out in the shops. Fluorescent is back in, especially pink. I've seen a nice pair of ski pants I might have to order. Anneha and Fiagave asked for new skijacketsdoor Xmas.
