We have had more snow and a great crowd of Scottish people in this week. Thanks to Elaine the party leader and all her friends we have not had a dull moment. That could also be down to Iain (Scotty) who was the life and soul of the party. Helen joined us too from Cannes and we had some great skiing in Les Arcs and Ste Foy. The girls made it into the basin and I am still awaiting a photo to be sent, ELAINE and KIRSTY!!!!!!!! The Mutsig also had a part to play in Bernie's ears being so large!!! We also had Jo, Loz and sarah here and had a fabulous evening wine tasting at Le Monal. Our pockets were a bit lighter as of course we had to take our favourites home with us. It was my birthday this week and we went to Le Solliet, Villaroger with the girls for lunch to try out the new restaurant. It was lovely and so nice we can all ski there as a family now Fi is progressing so well. I've enclosed a photo on the way back down from there. Next we have in Ian Conway and friends along with Sue , Graham, Graham2 and Johnny. Bye for now. |

Due to great snow we got more early bookings so have been busy for a while now. This photo shows the snow level the week before xmas. It's of Jim and Anna some of our guests that week. We had a fabulous Xmas and NY and the snow was equally as good.We really are having a superb season so far for conditions and there have been plenty of sunny days and blue skies. The live nativity was great on xmas eve and Gillian, Mick and Manda were with us with their families along with Fiona and Simon. Fiona skied hard despite being 4 months pregnant, well done to her. The torchlit descent and Firework display on NY eve went really well. The fireworks get better every year and they are all set to music which makes all the difference. Jonny and Anneha did the descent, skiing off piste from Le Pre, Villaroger down into the square. The rest of us watched from the square and we had hot vin chaud and chocolate. Ive enclosed some photos of the guests, Sharon,Andrew and family, Philip, Karen and family and Rob and Vic. The Hopkinsons and Goviers were the next ones here and we had a lovely time with them.Sally and Richard joined them for a few days and Richard has hopefully got the bug now!!!! We have just said goodbye to Jo, Lorraine and Sarah and also Gill and David. We skied down to Italy from La Rosiere with Gill and David and probably had the best conditions to date for that route. It's snowing again today and is due to all day. Jonny has just signed up to do the Haute Route (Chamonix to Zermatt) in March so is now in training. The quantity of red wine we are drinking has diminished considerably!!!!!! Before I go a big hello to Tom,hope you will come and see us sometime. |
