Its Snowing!!!It started this morning as we were on the first lift out of Villaroger and has continued all day getting heavier. By mid afternoon all the pistes were well covered and we had a great ski back. Up until today we have had blue skies and sun. Its been lovely but we are all happy to see the snow. Our guests are all getting in to the swing of things, using the hot tub daily and visiting la ferme after skiing. They love the Mutzig beer and Michelle(the owner) is looking after them with the crisps and nuts.We have met another mountain guide who lives now in Villaroger. He was originally in Val'D Isere. He is keen to get any experienced skiers doing a little ski touring and having a day out off piste. We hope we can work with him this season as he seems really nice. We are out skiing again tomorrow, today we skied with the guests. We will take Anneha out Wednesday afternoon as it is her half day.Ffi will maybe have a sledge depending on the weather. Will close for now as need to start dinner. |

We have just had a week of blue skies and sun, no queues and quiet pistes. Its been great and snow is forecast for Monday and Tuesday, sorry Mac and Zoe who left yesterday. The runs are in good condition although a little icy first thing in the morning, but thats due to the sun warming it up during the day and then freezing at night. Our next guests have arrived and are getting into the swing of things. We have a few boarders this week so are all out tomorrow together. The Hot Tub is being used daily and everyone is enjoying the Mutzig at La Ferme, especially Nick, George and Robin who seem to be getting on really well with Michelle (the owner). Must close as the girls need their tea now. |

We have had lots of snow over the past week and so have been able to enjoy some good off piste as well as on piste skiing. We have probably had nearly a metre of snow which has livened things up. We skied yesterday off the back of Ste Foy down through the village of Monal and down to Pigettes where our friend has the Alpage refuge. He made us lunch, after he had walked up the 50 min climb from the road. The fire was roaring and he had slippers waiting for us when we arrived and a large glass of red wine. Its an amazing place , Jonny worked on it a bit last summer. It would be a great day out if you hired a guide to get you down there as it is an off piste Itinery, but quite an easy route.Simon the owner would then cook dinner for you with drinks and you can stay the night.I will have to speak to him re prices as I think it would be a good idea. Today it is cloudy and we think more snow is forecast. It has certainly warmed up a lot. We are taking Anneha skiing this afternon and Ffi(2yrs) has got some little plastic clip on ones and a new hat so is very excited.Anneha had a great week last week skiing and drinking hot chocolate with our NY guests' children.Hope you all got home safely, its unbelievable that flying from Leeds/Bradford to Chambery from their house to our chalet took 5 1/2 hrs door to door!!!!! Anyway must close as we have guests arriving in an hour. |
