We have been really busy the last couple of weeks so apologies for not entering our diary until now. We have had some great guests in again, including Mac and Zoe, Emma and David and all the boys who arrived last minute. It was great to see kereene, Jono and Nat again after probably 8 yrs. We all worked together in La Plagne/Val D Isere so we had a lot of catching up to do. Varnia, hope the job is going well. This week we had a stag group in so one night ended up being a very late one, with people in the Hot Tub around 2am, some fully clothed(tim).Good luck Philip for May and thanks again.Hope Gav, Sarah and co have recovered too. This photo was taken last week when Jonny , Nat, Mac, Zoe and the lads did the Follietta, an off piste Itinery. As you can see after all the snow we had some great weather. It is now snowing again and started yesterday. In fact we got stuck over in 1800 yesterday because all the high lifts shut so we couldnt ski back to Villaroger. The pisteurs kindly gave us a lift back in a pickup to 1950 and Jonny skied the track back and collected the car so he could come and collect us.The weather and wind just came in suddenly. Its snowing right now and Jonny is off to Ste Foy this pm to ski in the trees. Prior to this we have had some really warm weather and this photo was taken Sunday in La Rosiere, with Paul Christine and Sophie. Well we have only 3 more weeks to the end of the season, it has gone so quick!!!We are looking forward to skiing in spring conditions and soaking up the sunshine , along with some long lunches, especially as Jo and Boo Weetman will soon be here.Happy days!!!!! We are now taking bookings for next year so thanks again for all those people wanting to come back who have already booked!!!! Â

Snow, we've had loads!!!!We have had over 7ft up high and its snowing again today. According to the forecast we can expect another half a metre in the next couple of days.We have had amazing conditions this week. Some people are saying its the best powder in 7 yrs. We skied in Ste Foy yesterday with the Hanson group who arrived Monday. It was amazing with powder on piste and obviously off, but blue skies and sun. As it was so quiet even the pistes were not tracked out till late afternoon. We all had a good laugh especially Phil and Sally who did brilliant head plants. This photo was taken yesterday am in Ste Foy. We had unexpected guests at the weekend staying for just 1 night as the road was closed due to snow up to Val D'Isere. Some even had to sleep on the sofas as the chalet was full. They were all stranded so we helped them out.The road re-opened next morning so they managed to get there in the end.We had to rustle up dinner in an hour for 14 people, instead of 9.Everyone helped so thankyou. Chris, Tim and Ian , hope you are enjoying your holiday, sorry we couldn't fit you in for longer!! We are hoping to ski over to Italy at the end of the week, and visit our favourite restaurant in la Thuille.Anneha is back to school and will be skiing with the school Thursday pm, Jonny will be helping too. Somebody kindly took the photo below and said they thought it would be me and Jonny in a few years time, funny thing is, it probably will be!!!!
It makes us laugh every time I see it, wonder if we can get one for the chalet!!! Bye for now. |

Happy birthday to my brother-in law Paul, 39 yesterday!!!! Hope Gillian, Andrew, Charles and Co got back safely and Joe you recovered from your hardcore Kamakazi mission down the moghuls!!!Not bad after only a weeks skiing. Hope the knee and stiches are healing and Jake has forgiven you. Thanks for a lovely week. The pistes are in great condition , probably the best all season. Its a bit colder now so the snow is keeping well. We had a little snow the other night with more forecast for Wednesday. Jonny and I skied with 2 guests Ross and Andy yesterday, and had a good time. We managed to aviod any little queues there was due to it being the French holidays so we manged to cover some ground. Jonny has taken some more guests out today over into La Plagne, as they wanted to see that area, crossing over on the double decker Vanoise Express. We have been going to the Monal on a Saturday pm about 5ish for Apres Ski with Andy Sissons. Hes a local guy who plays in a band and does songs for a couple of hours. Its a good atmosphere. Afterwards the lads stayed to watch the Rugby but unfortunately I didnt come on their TV, good job really as the place was full of Scots!!! Anneha is skiing with the Villaroger Ski Club, today. She is very excited especially if she can get to wear the club Jacket. I have told her, lets wait to make sure you enjoy it first. She skied with Jonny and I and Gonz and Lorraine the other day down the bumps. Now we search for bumps all the time and she is glued to Jonnys'skis, following him up the edges and over little jumps. Asyou can tell we are very proud!!! |
